Organise Your Own Event

Organising your own event is a great way to raise money for The Paul Ridd Foundation, while having fun with your family and friends.
  • Fundraise in your area

Whether you’ve signed up for an event and are looking to raise sponsorship money, or you’re organising your own event on behalf of the Paul Ridd Foundation, we would love your support and are happy to help you fundraise in your area.

In September 2016 our public fundraising began when a group of very kind volunteers joined Jayne, Jonathan and the family to climb Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons in very challenging weather to fundraise towards the cost of putting together our Learning Disability Logo packs.

    Rosa & Wanderers

We are regularly supported by Rosa and the Wanderers Walking Group who fundraise for us and regularly share our information leaflets to spread the news about our work. Thank you so much ladies.

In January 2017 Chris and Debbie Griffiths organised a Ladies Festival Evening with a 4 course dinner and disco in the Masonic Hall, Maesteg to fundraise for us. We were so pleased to attend such a great evening and the funds raised have made such a difference to our work.

    Sian and Jon Jan 2017

The Paul Ridd Foundation guests – Jonathan and his wife Sian Ridd, Jayne Nicholls and Debbie Shawe who runs our office in Baglan with one of our regular volunteers Phyl Morgan.

Jen eddyIn May 2017 Jen Eddy and her partner  Jamie very kindly put themselves through the ultimate challenge of Tough Mudder to fundraise for us. Thank you both so much. We’ve just googled your challenge! Wow!

Tough Mudder is a 10-12 mile mud and obstacle course designed to drag you out of your comfort zone by testing your physical strength, stamina, and mental grit. With no podiums, winners, or clocks to race against, it’s not about how fast you can cross the finish line. Rather, it’s a challenge that emphasizes teamwork, camaraderie, and accomplishing something almost as tough as you are….

In October 2017 three very kind supporters of the Foundation ran in the Cardiff Half Marathon. Thank you so much to Paula Phillips, Helen Fargie and Lyn Davies who raised over £1200 through their determination. Thank you ladies.
