Having collected over 5,000 signatures, our petition to make learning disability awareness training mandatory throughout the NHS in Wales was debated in the Senedd on November 6th 2019.
The debate was described by the Chair of the Debate committee as being the most positive ever heard in the Chamber, as the proposal was unanimously passed by all AMs present.

Update – April 2022
The foundation level of the Paul Ridd Learning Disability Awareness Training was launched on April 1st 2022, and went life online as E-learning across every health board in Wales. This was an incredible milestone for us at the Foundation, the culmination of years of campaigning and a real legacy to Paul.
