On April 1st 2022 the Paul Ridd Learning Disability Awareness Training was launched across the NHS in Wales.  This was a momentous day for us at the Foundation as finally all our years of campaigning for awareness training to become mandatory have come to fruition.  This is just the Foundation level, as there are three levels in total.  This first level is for all healthcare staff; the second Enhanced level is for staff whose roles bring them into regular contact with people with a learning disability, and the third level is for those who specialise in working with people with a learning disability.  Click here to read the press release from Welsh Government.  If you would like to read the Framework for the training in full, see download available under Resources for NHS Staff and Students or click here
