What are Jayne’s hopes and fears?

Hopes that even without any LD awareness training healthcare workers will just know what to do for the best of the patient, but fears that things will never change.
Jayne fears that she will see another story like Paul's, another death from neglect. Her hope is that with the work going on will make a difference, that people with LD will be treated with the dignity that they deserve, that they will have better healthcare experiences, that they will live longer and that their lives will be enhanced by a better health system.

Why do you think Jonathan and Jayne made the video?

Because they were asked to do it.
In order to raise awareness of Paul's story to try to ensure that something like this doesn't happen again.

After watching and listening to Paul’s story – what are the most important things you’ve learnt from it?

That everyone is just doing the best they can and every patient should be treated exactly the same.
That families and carers know the patient the best and that they must be listened to. Healthcare workers must see the person and not the disability.

When nursing and medical staff see the patient's disability and ignore signs of illness and deterioration.

That he died from neglect due to the dire care that he received.
